Our commitment to this vision has never wavered, and for the past five years, we’ve been proud partners and supporters of Hire Heroes USA, an organization that shares our passion for supporting everyday heroes – especially our military veterans.
Our journey with Hire Heroes USA began five years ago when we sought an organization that worked directly with veterans, given that several of our employees have served in the military. We wanted to do more than just provide high-quality, reliable work gear. We wanted to make a difference in the lives of those who have dedicated themselves to serving our country.
Since partnering with Hire Heroes USA, it has been a perfect fit for Work Wear Safety. Our mission statement – We Make Workers’ Lives Better – aligns well with Hire Heroes USA’s mission to empower U.S. military members, veterans, and military spouses as they transition to civilian careers.
In 2022, the collaborative efforts of Hire Heroes and dedicated partner companies played a pivotal role in raising an astonishing $24.2 million. This impressive amount showcases the collective commitment of companies, like ours, to support military veterans in their journey to civilian life. For that reason, we take immense pride in being a part of this monumental fundraising achievement and look forward to adding more to that amount in future.
In June of this year, Hire Heroes USA took a significant step towards addressing the unique challenges faced by women veterans by launching the Women’s Veterans Program. This initiative represented a commitment to empowering women who have served in the armed forces by recognizing that their experiences and challenges are different from those faced by their male counterparts. Not to mention women continue to comprise the fastest growing population within military and veteran communities.
Just as there is a notable shift in the safety industry with more women entering the workforce, Work Wear Safety acknowledges their valuable contributions and unique needs within this sector. Together, we each exemplify the collective effort to support and uplift women in various professional fields, fostering a more inclusive and equitable working environment.
